Matt Morici, PT, DPT, Cert MDT graduated from Sacred Heart University with a BS in Exercise Science in 2007. He was then admitted to the Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) program at Sacred Heart, graduating in 2010. Matt began his career as a traveling physical therapist for two years where he worked in various clinical settings in Texas, Arizona, Florida and Virginia. While on the road, Matt was able to get sound experience in orthopedic and neurological outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities and acute care hospitals.
Matt was credentialed in the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy in December of 2019 which is a structured assessment method to diagnose and treat orthopedic conditions. Using these principles as a foundation to assess and treat orthopedic problems, patients can see rapid and long-lasting results by using simple movements of their body to achieve optimal outcomes without developing dependency on the clinician. Matt’s main objective with each and every patient is to form a strategic alliance and provide the best possible care while encouraging them to become as independent as possible and simultaneously preventing future recurrences throughout their lifetime.
Matt is originally from New York but currently resides in the Northern Virginia area with his wife and two sons. His hobbies include golf, exercising, video games and taking road trips but most of his free time is spent trying to keep up with his two boys.
